Bruxelles-Midi / Brussel-Zuid - Brussels Station Guide

Brussels, Belgium

47B Avenue Fonsny, 1060 Brussels, Belgium

Station Hours

04:00 - 01:00 daily

Bruxelles-Midi, also known as Brussel-Zuid or Brussels South, is Belgium's principal international railway station and one of Europe's most important high-speed rail hubs. Located in the Saint-Gilles municipality south of the city centre, the station connects travellers to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt and destinations across Belgium via a wide range of international and domestic services. The station operates on two levels: trains depart and arrive at the upper level, while the main concourse - the Hall de gare / Stationshal - runs beneath the tracks at street level, linking the Place Victor Horta entrance on the north side to the Avenue Fonsny entrance on the south. International platforms 1 and 2 serve Eurostar trains to London via the dedicated Channel Terminal, while platforms 3 to 6 handle other international high-speed services including Eurostar continental routes, TGV INOUI and ICE. Domestic SNCB/NMBS trains use the remaining platforms. Bruxelles-Midi is the only station in Belgium with direct Eurostar services to London, requiring passport control and security screening through the Channel Terminal before boarding. For all other international departures within the Schengen area, passengers can board directly from the platforms without additional checks.
