About Leo Express

Leo Express is a Czech private open-access rail operator providing passenger services across Central Europe since 2012. Its core network connects the Czech Republic with Slovakia and Poland — including trains from Prague to Kraków, Warsaw and Prešóv — and, together with its strategic partner, Spanish national operator Renfe, the company is in the middle of its largest international expansion. In 2026 Leo Express launched new connections on the Prague–Olomouc–Bratislava and Frankfurt–Prague–Kraków–Przemyśl corridors, and won the contract to operate the Prague–Pilsen–Regensburg–Munich line from 13 December 2026.

Every travel class on Leo Express trains includes free WiFi and air conditioning. Travellers choose from four onboard experiences: Premium and Business for a quieter environment with adjustable leather seats, priority service and complimentary drinks and refreshments; Economy Plus for a comfortable workspace with ergonomic seats and a laptop-friendly desk; and Economy for good-value travel with a 240V power socket at every seat and a dedicated kids’ zone in carriage A.

Class availability and the exact range of onboard services vary by route and train set. The specific offer — including fare conditions — is always displayed for your selected connection at the time of booking, so check it before you buy.

Talgo Trainsets

Up to Up to 200 km/h

Introduced on 30 April 2026 through Leo Express’s partnership with Renfe, these refurbished Talgo S6 trainsets are thirteen-carriage units carrying 350 passengers, hauled by modern multi-system locomotives. A continuous low floor, barrier-free access and a passive tilting system on independently rotating wheels keep the ride smooth even on winding routes. Seat pitch reaches up to one metre even in Economy — which the carrier describes as the largest second-class seat pitch in the Czech Republic. Passengers choose between Economy (308 seats) and Business (40 seats), both with a designated quiet zone, and families get a kids’ zone with stroller space. Catering is delivered to your seat, or you can visit the bistro carriage available on every trainset. Talgo trains run on the Prague–Olomouc–Bratislava and Prague–Ostrava–Prešóv routes.

    Booking Tips

Check Your Fare Conditions at Purchase

The exact conditions of every ticket — cancellation, refund and validity — are displayed on the booking screen at the time of purchase. Always review them before completing your booking, as conditions differ by fare.

Tickets Cannot Be Changed After Purchase

Leo Express tickets cannot be modified to a different train, date or time once bought. If your plans change, the ticket must be cancelled under its fare conditions and a new one purchased. Only the seat number within the same connection can be changed.

Children under 6 travel free of charge within the Czech Republic — and on the Czech portion of international journeys — when accompanied by a person aged 10 or older. Children and juniors aged 6–17 receive a 50% discount in the Czech Republic under the same territorial rule.

Travelling with Kids? Look for the Kids’ Zone

Leo Express trains have a dedicated kids’ zone — in Economy Class carriage A on the core fleet, and with stroller space on the new Talgo trainsets — with a children’s menu and activities for the youngest travellers.

Book Early for the Lowest Fares

Leo Express's cheapest Promo tickets are limited in number and non-refundable once purchased, so booking ahead gives you the best chance of catching them at the lowest price.
